Georgian Minister of Justice Paata Salia met with the Republic of Korea’s Minister of the Interior and Safety, Yun Ho-jung, during an official visit to South Korea.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the two ministers discussed deepening bilateral cooperation in digital transformation and public-sector innovation.
During the meeting, Salia highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership between Georgia and South Korea, particularly regarding artificial intelligence, innovative technologies, e-services, and digital governance.
“We are particularly intrigued by the concept of AI-driven democratic governance. The core philosophy behind this approach is to ensure that artificial intelligence serves not merely as a technological tool, but as a vehicle for expanding access to public services and enabling the state to respond more rapidly to citizen needs,” stated the Georgian Justice Minister.
Salia emphasised Georgia’s notable progress in recent years across digital governance, e-services, cybersecurity, and information safety.
“We had an exceptionally constructive meeting with Georgian Justice Minister Paata Salia, engaging in a fruitful discussion on how to advance digital cooperation between our countries and ministries, most notably in accelerating digital development and implementing artificial intelligence technologies,” said Yun Ho-jung.
