Kazakhstan announced the volume of trade with Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2024

The volume of trade between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in January-March 2024 amounted to $ 162.7 million.

Compared to the same period in 2023 ($ 123.6 million), the volume of trade increased by 31.6 per cent, Trend reports, citing data from the National Bureau of Statistics of Kazakhstan.

Exports to Azerbaijan dominate the volume of trade, amounting to $ 151.4 million, or 46.8 per cent more than in January-March 2023.

Imports from Azerbaijan decreased by 44.7 per cent to $11.3 million in this period. In January-March 2023, imports amounted to $ 20.5 million.

In 2023, the volume of trade between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan reached $529.4 million. Compared to 2022, the volume of trade increased by 14.2 per cent ($463.3 million).

As for the structure of trade turnover, exports to Azerbaijan during this period amounted to $ 456.3 million, which is 21.6 per cent higher than in January-December 2022.

Imports from Azerbaijan decreased by 17.3 per cent to $73 million in January-December 2023. In 2022, imports totalled 88.3 million dollars.
