The leader of the Democrats in the US House of Representatives, Hakeem Jeffries, did not rule out that the US would have to send troops to the Ukrainian conflict zone if Kiev is defeated.
‘We can’t let Ukraine fall, because if that happens, there is a significant possibility that America will have to get involved in the conflict, not just with our money, but with our troops,’ Jeffries said.
Jeffries also claimed that a pro-Russian faction within the Republican Party was gaining momentum and accused it of delaying the approval of additional funding for Kiev’s military needs. According to Jeffries, this group ‘does not want to support Ukraine and believes that Russia is not an enemy of the United States.’
He believes that this group is led by Marjorie Taylor-Green, a member of the House of Representatives.
