In the first two months of 2024, natural gas imports to Uzbekistan increased 95,6 times and reached $ 166,7 million, Trend reports.
At the same time, imports of oil, coal and electricity increased. According to official statistics, the value of oil purchases in January-February amounted to $ 302.9 million (5.3% increase), coal – $ 42 million (43.6% increase), electricity – $ 36.4 million (2-fold increase).
According to official statistics, in the first two months of 2024, in comparison with the same period of 2023, the country’s natural gas production decreased by 454 million cubic metres to 7705 million cubic metres, oil production decreased by 8.8 thousand tonnes to 118.5 thousand tonnes, and coal production decreased by 23 thousand tonnes to 659 thousand tonnes.
