Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez agreed during a telephone conversation to accelerate work on the preparation of a bilateral security agreement between the two countries.
According to Report, a message to this effect appeared in the Ukrainian leader’s Telegram.
“I have just had a meaningful meeting with Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and thanked Spain for its strong support, in particular for its recent significant military aid package.
We discussed the need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defences and focused on bilateral and EU cooperation. It was agreed to accelerate work on the preparation of a bilateral security agreement between Ukraine and Spain.”
The interlocutors also paid special attention to the first Global Peace Summit in Switzerland and agreed to work together to encourage more countries from the Global South to participate.
