Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov, who is in Uzbekistan on an official visit, met with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today. A statement about the meeting was made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov conveyed the greetings of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Shavkat Mirziyoyev. President Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude for the kind greetings and requested that his own greetings be conveyed to the Azerbaijani President. During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed over the dynamic development of friendly and cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, and the importance of elevating these relations to an alliance level was emphasized. Perspectives for developing cooperation in numerous areas of mutual interest between the two countries were discussed.
