Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the capital Beijing on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Li Qiang said that thanks to the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China-Brazil relations have entered a golden period of growth. China is ready to maintain high-level contacts with Brazil, deepen political mutual trust, enrich the strategic content of bilateral relations and comprehensively expand mutually beneficial cooperation. Li emphasized that the current international situation is complex and unstable, and China and Brazil, as important developing countries and emerging economies in the world, should cooperate more closely and jointly tackle risks. Premier Li said China wants to further align development strategies with Brazil, take advantage of the complementary advantages in their industrial structures and deepen cooperation in areas such as finance, trade, investment, infrastructure, industrial chains and green transformation. He also proposed boosting cooperation in innovative fields such as artificial intelligence, digital economy, advanced manufacturing and biomedicine.
