The latest round of political consultations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was held in Tashkent with the participation of the foreign ministers of both countries, as well as other officials, Trend reported.
According to the information, the meeting discussed prospects for deepening the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, as well as opportunities for increasing bilateral trade and strengthening economic cooperation.
Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov said on his Telegram channel that the main topic of the meeting was the expansion of the strategic partnership between the two countries. Saidov also emphasised that the leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan have laid solid foundations for further strengthening the positive dynamics in relations. During the consultations, plans for cooperation in all areas were reviewed and issues of regional importance were discussed. It was proposed to organise regular exchanges between the relevant institutions of the two countries.
