According to the Central Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, Governor of the Central Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubanychbek Bokontayev attended the spring meeting of the group of governors of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington on 15-20 April.
According to the press service, within the framework of this event, meetings were held with IMF Deputy Managing Director Bo Li and Director of the IMF Middle East and Central Asia Department Jihad Azur. During the talks, the economic situation in the Kyrgyz Republic and macroeconomic policy measures of the country were discussed.
There were also discussions and exchanges of views on the development of the world economy and global inflation trends among the heads of central banks, including participation in the Swiss group of IMF countries.
