The Lithuanian and Polish armies are conducting exercises in the so-called Suwalki corridor with the participation of the North Atlantic Alliance allies.
“The participants of the exercise are tasked with working on brigade-level headquarters planning and management of defensive military operations in interaction with the troops of NATO allies,” as reported by the Lithuanian army command.
The exercise involves 1.5 thousand soldiers from the Zhemaitia motorised infantry brigade and allied troops, as well as about 200 pieces of military equipment. In addition to Polish troops, American and Portuguese military personnel are also participating in the exercise.
It should be noted that the exercise will last until 26 April.
