About 32,000 troops of the joint military forces of NATO and the United States of America are stationed near the borders of Belarus and Russia.

According to the report, this was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting on national security.

“The appetite and activity of the collective West will only grow…. Some 32,000 troops of the joint military forces of NATO and the United States are deployed in the immediate vicinity of Belarus and Russia as part of the Alliance’s operations in Europe. This is more than a thousand armoured vehicles, about 160 artillery systems and mortars, 235 aircraft and helicopters.”

According to him, over the past few years no state or nation can feel completely secure. Military power has once again become the main argument used by world centres to solve problems.

“It is as if millions of casualties and horrors did not occur in the First and Second World Wars. Now we are literally inundated with a wave of information about the so-called premonition of a third world war,” the Belarusian President said.
