Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić held a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the “Ukraine – Southeast Europe” summit held in the Ukrainian city of Odessa. The announcement of the meeting was made by the Serbian leader via social media, accompanied by a photo.

In his statement, Vučić said that the meeting focused on important issues such as ensuring long-term and sustainable peace, compliance with international law, and increasing the role of diplomacy in resolving conflicts. Vučić said that the meeting was cordial and comprehensive, adding that the fundamental geopolitical challenges facing Europe and the world were discussed. Both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between their countries in various areas. Speaking at the summit, Vučić said that intensifying dialogue and achieving peace were fundamental conditions for resolving all other outstanding issues. He added that achieving peace was becoming an increasingly urgent need with each passing day.
