On May 13, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyer Saidov met with Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanchbek Omuraliev. During the meeting, they discussed the further strengthening of cooperation between the CIS member states, progress made in implementing the initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan within the organization, and priority issues for the upcoming period. The sides also discussed preparations for the Turkic Summit, which is planned to be held in the coming days in the Hungarian capital Budapest. The meeting was considered as an important step in enhancing regional solidarity and realization of common goals within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
