The 5th meeting of the Commission on cooperation between the parliaments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan was held in Samarkand. Deputies of Kyrgyzstan Parkhat Tulendybaev, Muradil Sydykov, Sovyetbek Rustambek uulu, Ernis Aidaraliev, led by Deputy Chairman Nurlanbek Azygaliev attended the 5th meeting of the Parliamentary Commission on cooperation between the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan and the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan in Samarkand on May 12.

During the meeting, the current state and prospects of inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries were discussed. The sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the border regions, implementing joint projects and increasing mutual visits. It was also noted that the process of demarcation of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan was completed and the exchange of ratification documents on this issue took place. This development was considered as an important step that will contribute to the further deepening of relations between the two countries. At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to organize joint events and exchange visits in certain areas in order to further strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation.
