President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to the Russian capital Moscow on May 8-9 at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The visit aims to consolidate the strategic partnership between the two countries and strengthen cooperation on regional issues.
According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, President Mirziyoyev will take part in commemoration and celebration ceremonies dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in World War II. Within the framework of his visit to Moscow, President Mirziyoyev is expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings with various high-ranking Russian officials, including Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is stated that during these meetings, ideas will be exchanged on increasing bilateral trade volume, cooperation in the fields of energy and transportation, education, culture and regional security.
