Venezuela expects to officially join BRICS this year, which will have a positive impact on the country’s economic development.
According to the Report, it was announced by Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez at the signing ceremony of the Agreement on the Protection of Development and Reciprocal Investments with the representative of the People’s Republic of China, broadcast by Venezolana de Television.
‘The giant China is part of the BRICS union, which Venezuela hopes to officially join this year, because this union is the path to a new world without hegemony and with respect for international law,’ Rodriguez said.
He noted that Venezuela and China have been ‘threatened and blocked’ and that joining BRICS ‘with a new international financial system would be a positive factor for the development of the republic’s economy’.
It should be noted that the agreement was signed on behalf of China by Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Shouwen.
