At the 16th Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) Summit to be held in Tashkent on 8-9 November, further expansion of trade and economy, investment, transport and communication and humanitarian cooperation within the organisation will be discussed.
The leaders of the ECO member states will also discuss the improvement of the organisation’s activities.
The event, which will be chaired by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is expected to be attended by the heads of state and government of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Turkey.
Mirziyoyev will also hold a series of bilateral meetings as part of the summit programme.
The ECO was established in 1985 with a permanent secretariat in Tehran.
