A new round of political consultations was held in Vienna between the foreign ministries of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Austria.
According to a statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan to the Trend news agency, the talks were led by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev on the Azerbaijani side and Hanna Liko, Head of the Political Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the Austrian side. During the consultations, the political relations between the two countries were discussed, and attention was drawn to the importance of mutual visits and contacts within the framework of international events for sustainable dialogue. The parties assessed the current level of cooperation and future opportunities in the fields of economy, energy, transportation, and humanitarian affairs. In addition, strategic energy and transportation projects led and actively participated in by Azerbaijan were discussed. Projects in the field of humanitarian mine clearance were also discussed, and the importance of establishing a legal basis for developing cooperation in this area was emphasized.
