Azerbaijan and China Discuss Joint Efforts to Implement the Middle Corridor

On June 5, a delegation of Azerbaijani National Assembly deputies met with a delegation from the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. The meeting was chaired by Lin Kecin, Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of China.

According to information provided by the National Assembly’s Press and Public Relations Department to the Trend news agency, the meeting addressed the current state of Azerbaijan-China relations and the future of cooperation. Azer Amiraslanov, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship Committee and member of the Azerbaijan-China Inter-Parliamentary Relations Working Group, welcomed the visiting delegation and emphasized the great importance of mutual cooperation between the two countries. Amiraslanov highlighted the strategic role of the leaders of the two countries in bringing bilateral relations to their current high level, noting that Azerbaijan and China share a common value in their emphasis on both economic and political independence. He also pointed out the importance of joint efforts in numerous global-scale projects, particularly the Middle Corridor, and stressed the need to further strengthen inter-parliamentary relations. Lin Kecin, Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee, who headed the Chinese delegation, expressed his satisfaction with the hospitality shown and stated that the high-level political dialogue between the two countries had a positive impact on economic and trade relations as well as cooperation in other areas. Lin noted that the mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Azerbaijan could be further developed in the future.
