Azerbaijan and Georgia Discuss Cooperation in Military Medicine

Healthcare officials from the Azerbaijani and Georgian defense ministries met in Baku to discuss bilateral cooperation in military medicine. Details of the meeting were shared with the public by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry on Thursday.

The ministry’s statement noted that the Georgian delegation was given a comprehensive briefing on the organization of health services in the Azerbaijani army and military medical support issues. It was noted that the parties engaged in extensive discussions on cooperation in the field of military medicine and various issues of mutual interest. During the visit, the Georgian delegation visited the Main Clinical Hospital, the Central Military and Dental Polyclinics, the Military Medical Faculty, the Forensic Medicine and Pathological Anatomy Center, and the Ministry of Defense’s recreational facilities. The meeting is expected to strengthen cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia in the field of defense and increase the exchange of experience in military medicine.
