India and Uzbekistan to cooperate in defense industry.

A seminar on the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and India in the field of defense industry was held in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. The organizers noted that the defense industries of both countries intend to strengthen their partnership. The press service of the Uzbek Defense Ministry told CentralAsia.News.

Joint projects were discussed at the seminar, and representatives of companies from both countries presented their initiatives. Bharat Dynamics, Apollo Micro Systems, TATA Advanced Systems, Bharat Forge and Karman Drones Private were among the Indian companies participating in the seminar. During the event, promising areas of cooperation in this area were discussed.

Earlier, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held official talks with Saudi Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih and discussed plans to develop partnership relations, including in the defense sector. Joint projects of mutual benefit will be implemented with a total financing of $12 billion.
