Japan and Uzbekistan discussed the development of bilateral cooperation

On July 10, an international round table on “Joint promotion of knowledge and innovations in the framework of the Central Asia plus Japan dialogue” was held at the University of Tsukuba in Japan, Trend reports.

The event was attended by leaders and representatives of specialized analytical and scientific-academic institutes of Japan and Uzbekistan. Japan was represented by the leaders and experts of the University of Tsukuba, the Nippon Foundation and the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences.

From the Uzbek side, heads and representatives of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Information and Analytical Center for International Relations, the Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Studies, the Center for Economic Research and Reforms, the International Institute of Central Asia, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy took part.

It was noted that the current state of bilateral cooperation in the fields of education, science and innovation and prospects for its development were discussed during the talks. Particular attention was paid to the establishment of more active interaction between the research circles of the two countries.
