President of Kazakhstan Kassym Generous Tokayev met with Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev in the capital Nur-Sultan. During the meeting, the development of bilateral relations between the two countries and regional cooperation issues were discussed, and the goals of increasing cooperation in trade, economy, transportation and cultural fields were emphasized.
Tokayev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are two brotherly countries connected by common history, culture and language, and that efforts should be made to further strengthen relations. Japarov, in turn, noted that the cooperation between the two countries continues to develop in all areas, especially economic and trade relations should be further deepened. Increasing cooperation within the framework of regional organizations such as the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was also discussed during the meeting. The two leaders agreed to continue joint work for regional stability and development.
