Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the speakers of parliaments of the member countries of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TÜRKPA) on June 12.
President Tokayev emphasized that TÜRKPA is an important organization that contributes to economic, cultural, and humanitarian development among member countries. He stated that the organization’s potential should be utilized more effectively to achieve the common goals of the Turkic peoples. Tokayev recalled that Kazakhstan chaired the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) last year and provided information about the activities carried out during this period. Noting that TÜRKPA plays an important role in deepening relations between Turkic states, Tokayev said that strengthening solidarity is of critical importance in the face of today’s global challenges.
