On March 24, Kyrgyzstan and France held political consultations in Paris at the level of Deputy Foreign Minister Meder Abakirov and Head of the Political Department at the rank of Deputy Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Brice Roquefeuil.
During the meeting, the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for future cooperation were discussed. The sides agreed to strengthen political dialogue, expand trade-economic ties, deepen cooperation in the fields of culture, education and tourism. They also discussed international and regional issues. The two countries emphasized the importance of joint efforts to ensure stability and security in Central Asia, fight against terrorism and global challenges such as climate change. After the talks, the sides expressed mutual will to further develop Kyrgyz-French relations.
