Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia discussed the development of military cooperation

During an official visit to Kyrgyzstan by a delegation from the Mongolian Ministry of Defence, led by Minister Batlut Damba, a series of events took place involving senior officials from the republic’s defence ministry.

It is reported that in the morning, the Mongolian delegation, together with Kyrgyzstan’s First Deputy Minister of Defence Talaybek Sharsheev, visited the ‘Ata-Beyit’ memorial complex, dedicated to the memory of the victims of tragic chapters in the history of the Kyrgyz people and of outstanding statesmen and public figures. A wreath-laying ceremony took place there.

Later, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Defence, Ruslan Mukambetov, held talks with his Mongolian counterpart, Batlut Damba.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the military sphere, discussed the exchange of experience between the armed forces of the two countries, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

Ruslan Mukambetov noted that cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia in the defence sector is developing on a mutually beneficial basis and contributes to the strengthening of friendly relations, regional security and international stability.

The defence ministers reaffirmed the friendly nature of relations between the two countries and expressed their readiness to further expand bilateral cooperation.
