Joint Russian-Uzbek tactical exercise ‘Khamkorlik-2025’ launched in Uzbekistan

The joint Russian-Uzbek military exercise ‘Khamkorlik-2025’ has begun in the Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan. Units from the 201st Russian military base of the Central Military District, as well as military units from Uzbekistan, are taking part in the exercise.

The opening ceremony took place at the Termez training ground with a solemn parade, the performance of national anthems and a march-past of military personnel in formation.

During the exercises, military personnel will practise detecting and eliminating illegal armed groups in border areas, storming captured facilities and clearing populated areas.

The Russian side also includes mountain and assault units, mobile electronic warfare groups, unmanned aerial vehicle crews, and Mi-24 attack helicopter crews.

It should be noted that the active phase of the manoeuvres will last from 15 to 21 July 2025.
