Serbia and Hungary are moving towards the establishment of a full-fledged military alliance.

According to Report, citing foreign media, this was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic after signing an agreement on strategic defence cooperation.

‘We have come to build the closest strategic relations in the field of defence and we believe that this agreement on joint activities will be continued in a further approach to the creation of a military alliance or union between Serbia and Hungary,’ Vucic said.

The document was signed by Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gašić and his Hungarian counterpart Krisztof Szalay-Bobrownicki. The agreement includes a bilateral military partnership plan for 2025, which envisages 79 joint activities, including helicopter exercises.
