As reported by Trend on Thursday, the event was organised at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan, with the participation of political scientists and experts from both countries.
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov delivered a welcoming speech, emphasising that close contact between the two countries has been established at all levels.
‘Cooperation at the highest level is actively developing, including cooperation between parliaments and inter-parliamentary groups,’ the diplomat noted.
According to B. Ashrafkhanov, the expansion of ties between the analytical centres of the two states can give the strategic partnership an additional independent dimension.
‘We are interested in institutionalising such interaction through joint research, the exchange of experts and the organisation of regular meetings,’ he added.
