The United States will send Ukraine additional weapons, including missiles for Patriot systems, which will be paid for by the European Union.
This was announced by US President Donald Trump, according to Report.
‘We will send them various types of modern military equipment. And they will pay us 100% for it,’ Trump said, stressing that this issue will be discussed at his meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Washington on 14 July.
The American leader once again criticised European countries for spending significantly less than the United States on support for Kyiv, emphasising that the EU will ‘reimburse the US for the costs’ of sending weapons intended for Ukraine.
When asked if he still plans to give Kyiv 10 Patriot interceptor missiles, Trump said he ‘hasn’t decided on the number yet.’
‘But they will get some [of them] because they need protection. But the European Union will pay for them. We are not paying anything for this, but we will send them. For us, it’s just business, and we will send them Patriot missiles,’ the White House chief added.
