On March 30, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a telephone conversation with Tom Berendsen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Congratulating his Dutch counterpart on assuming office, Minister Mirzoyan wished him success and reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to consistently developing its partnership with the Netherlands.
The two ministers discussed efforts aimed at expanding the agenda of strategic cooperation between Armenia and the Netherlands, noting with satisfaction the continued emphasis placed on partnership with Armenia in the Dutch government’s coalition agreement.
They also exchanged views on prospects for enhanced cooperation across various formats, including deepening the Armenia–EU partnership. Upcoming high-level visits and events were discussed, among them the European Political Community summit and the “Yerevan Dialogue” diplomatic forum.
Mirzoyan and Berendsen also exchanged opinions on challenges along Armenia’s democratic development path and on mechanisms for effective cooperation to address them.
