Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, Narek Apitonyan, received Drew Platt, a professional staff member of the US Senate Appropriations Committee.
Representatives of the US embassy in Armenia also participated in the meeting, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia.
The process and prospects of Armenia-US cooperation in the energy sector were discussed.
Also, the deputy minister touched upon the importance of launching new US assistance projects for Armenia after the suspension of USAID energy projects, taking into account the opportunities provided by the Memorandum of Understanding on partnership in the energy security sector, signed between the US and Armenian governments in 2025.
