Azerbaijan’s presidential representative on climate issues Mukhtar Babayev met with Qingfeng Zhang, senior director of the Agriculture, Food, Nature and Rural Development Sector Office at the Asian Development Bank.
Babayev said on X that the meeting covered integrated water resources management, climate-resilient agriculture and regional cooperation in responding to growing climate- and water-related challenges.
The discussions also focused on potential projects under the Glaciers to Farms (G2F) Regional Program, which was launched through a declaration adopted at COP29, as well as opportunities to further deepen cooperation with the ADB.
Babayev noted that the continued importance of strong engagement by multilateral development banks in advancing the global climate agenda and supporting implementation efforts on the ground was also emphasized.
