Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Brazil’s newly appointed ambassador to the country, Bernard Klingl.
According to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, cited by Report, Klingl presented copies of his credentials to Bayramov.
The minister congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic activities.
The sides discussed prospects for developing friendly relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Brazil. It was noted that the expansion of political dialogue, mutual visits, and consultations contributes to the further strengthening of bilateral ties.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, energy, agriculture, tourism, aviation, education, culture, sports, and high technologies. They also exchanged views on the work of the joint working group on trade and investment cooperation and the prospects for economic interaction.
The sides emphasized the importance of expanding the legal and contractual framework between the two countries and discussed cooperation within international organizations, including the United Nations, as well as interaction in the field of multilateral diplomacy. The importance of cooperation on the climate agenda and within the framework of COP was also highlighted separately.
