Azerbaijani FM meets with Georgian PM

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, held a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in Tbilisi, according to the Georgian government, Report informs.

During the meeting, it was especially emphasized that Georgian-Azerbaijani relations are based on principles of strategic partnership and good neighborliness.

It was noted that the dynamic development of relations between the two countries in recent years is a pleasing situation.

The parties discussed the role of joint infrastructure and energy projects of regional importance in the development of the Middle Corridor.

During the meeting, the expansion of trade and economic relations and the observed increase in trade turnover between the two countries were also hailed.

The current situation in the South Caucasus region was also touched upon during the conversation.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze once again declared Georgia’s readiness to contribute to the establishment of peace and stability in the region through dialogue and cooperation.

As part of the meeting, views were exchanged on the prospects for developing relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia across various fields.
