Chinese Vice President Han Zheng stated that China is ready to strengthen strategic communication and coordination with France at the bilateral and multilateral levels, adding that they want to give new momentum to relations between the two countries.
Han Zheng made this statement during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) held in Nice, France. Conveying greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping to Macron, Han recalled that during a telephone conversation between the two leaders last month, they had exchanged views on a number of important issues and reached consensus on supporting multilateralism and global peace and stability. Han emphasized that his participation in the Ocean Conference aimed to contribute to the implementation of the agreement reached between the two leaders, support the efforts of the United Nations and France in this area, and promote the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
