EU ambassador: Visa liberalization dialogue being conducted solely with Armenia

Head of the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Nelli Davtyan, participated in the closing event of the “Support to the Reorganization of the Migration and Citizenship Service”  project of Armenia (E-MICS Armenia).

The objective of this program, launched in 2023, is the success of the reforms being implemented in the migration sector of Armenia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The aforesaid closing event brought together as well Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Armenia; Radim Zak, Head of Region for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD); and several other stakeholders in the sector.

Nelli Davtyan, lauded Armenia’s cooperation with the EU and the ICMPD, and noted that within the framework of the E-MICS Armenia project, it was possible to reorganize the management of the migration sector of Armenia and create solid foundations to face modern challenges.
