EU foreign ministers will discuss the situation in Georgia at a Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Luxembourg on October 12, according to the meeting agenda published on the EU’s official website.

Georgia will be addressed under the Council’s current affairs agenda. The meeting will be chaired by Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

Ministers will also discuss Russia’s war against Ukraine and its escalating hybrid campaign targeting the EU and its member states, following an informal exchange with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

Those discussions will focus on the EU’s response to Russia’s intensified hybrid activities, continued support for Ukraine and further pressure on Moscow.

The Middle East will also feature on the agenda, with ministers considering recent developments involving Iran, particularly freedom of navigation. They will also exchange views on the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
