The European Union will allocate €38 million for new projects supporting Georgian citizens, families, and communities across the country in 2026, EU Ambassador to Georgia Pawel Herczynski announced in Telavi following the opening of the Europe Day event.
The projects will be implemented under the EUwithYou programme and build on the EU’s 30-year partnership with Georgia. They will focus on expanding access to education and employment, supporting family farms and improving food quality, as well as promoting the development of small towns and villages.
The funding will also support women’s economic empowerment, young people, and vulnerable groups, including people in Abkhazia, while contributing to environmental protection.
The European Union has been supporting the people of Georgia for more than 30 years. Since 1992, the EU has invested more than €2 billion in supporting progress in Georgia in areas such as agricultural development, helping people living in the regions start their own businesses, improving air quality and modernizing the East-West Highway, among many other initiatives.
