Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s meetings with Singaporean leaders will provide an important opportunity to discuss both political and economic cooperation.
According to Botchorishvili, Singapore is an important partner for Georgia, with the two countries sharing similarities in economic development and logistics.
“The Prime Minister’s visit to Singapore is very important. It is a country that has much in common with Georgia, from economic development to its experience as a logistics hub. We have much to learn from Singapore, both in terms of economic reforms and the development of a logistics hub,” she said.
Botchorishvili added that ongoing global developments have increased the strategic importance of both Singapore and Georgia.
“In this context, high-level meetings will help us further develop our relations with the region. The Prime Minister’s meetings with Singapore’s leadership will be a good opportunity to discuss political and economic cooperation, deepen our partnership, and explore the opportunities that exist for strengthening ties with both the country and the wider region,” the foreign minister said.
