The Republic of Korea has agreed to invest $350 billion in the US economy and purchase liquefied natural gas (LNG) and other energy resources from American companies for a total of about $100 billion.

According to Report, this was announced by US President Donald Trump.

‘I am pleased to announce that the US has agreed to a comprehensive trade agreement with the Republic of Korea,’ he wrote on his Truth Social page.

“Under the terms of the deal, South Korea will provide the United States with $350 billion for investments owned and controlled by the United States and selected by me as president. In addition, South Korea will purchase $100 billion worth of LNG or other energy resources and has agreed to allocate a significant amount of money for investment purposes,” Trump clarified.

The estimated investment amount will be announced within two weeks when South Korean President Lee Jae-myung arrives in Washington.

Trump expects the South Korean market to be completely open to American goods, including automobiles and agricultural products. At the same time, the United States will maintain a 15% tariff on imports from South Korea.
