Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have signed a cooperation programme between their foreign ministries for 2025–2026.
This was reported by Report, citing Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov on social media.
“We are pleased to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev. We had a productive and frank exchange of views on deepening our strategic partnership, particularly in the areas of trade, economic interconnection and border infrastructure. We also discussed the importance of coordinating our efforts in the field of regional integration and sustainable development,” he said.
Following the meeting, a Joint Action Plan was signed to prepare for the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan.
