British Defence Minister John Healey will call on partner countries to increase military support for Kyiv at a meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group.
According to Report, citing TASS, this was reported by The Daily Telegraph newspaper.
According to the newspaper, Healey will call on the group’s members to organise a 50-day campaign to arm Ukraine and will support the proposal of US President Donald Trump, who on 14 July threatened to impose new sanctions on Russia and its trading partners if Moscow and Washington fail to reach an agreement on a settlement in Ukraine within 50 days.
It is also reported that at the meeting, Germany and the UK may agree to purchase additional missiles for air defence systems, using €170 million in funding from Berlin.
