Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Baku to pay an official state visit to Azerbaijan. President Mirziyoyev will hold talks aimed at further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries as part of the visit, which was made at the invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
On the first day of the visit, the Uzbek leader, who was welcomed with an official reception ceremony in Azerbaijan, will participate in meetings with delegations from both countries as well as the signing of various agreements. The talks are expected to focus on joint projects in a wide range of areas, including the economy, trade, transportation, energy, agriculture, and cultural cooperation. Experts point out that this visit could mark a new turning point in Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan relations and further strengthen cooperation within regional structures such as the Turkic Council.
