President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to the city of Khujand on March 31 at the invitation of President of the Republic of Tajikistan Imamali Rahman.
As part of the visit, a trilateral meeting and bilateral meetings with the participation of the heads of state of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will be held. During the meeting, issues such as deepening the relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership between the parties, expanding cooperation in the trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres will be discussed. An important stage of the visit is expected to be the signing of an agreement on the contact points of state borders between Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. This step is important for regional cooperation and border security. As part of the program, the heads of state will also attend a joint concert featuring artists from the three countries. The visit is expected to open the door to new cooperation that will strengthen solidarity among Central Asian countries.
