Uzbekistan and Germany discussed the development of economic cooperation

On 11 February, Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov met with German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Katerina Reiche, Trend reports.

According to the information, the talks highlighted the steady development of bilateral economic cooperation. It was noted that in recent years, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Germany has doubled, and the volume of joint investment projects has exceeded $10 billion. Particular emphasis was placed on expanding partnership in the areas of green energy, industry, strategically important raw materials and labour mobility.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to strengthen dialogue on the trade and investment agenda and to promote the practical implementation of joint initiatives within the framework of upcoming bilateral business events.
