The first working group meeting on “green” minerals was held in Tashkent with the participation of delegations of the Ministry of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Commerce of China. The meeting aims to deepen mining cooperation between the two countries in environmentally friendly and high-tech sectors. During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation in the production of technological metals, which play a critical role in renewable energy, electric vehicle production and high-tech industries. Representatives of the Technological Metals Combine of Uzbekistan presented the current investment projects aimed at establishing a full production chain from the extraction of raw materials to the production of finished products. These projects are included in the Program for the Development of Critical Minerals for 2025-2026. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to prepare joint proposals for financing the projects discussed as soon as possible.
