Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation to discuss strategic relations between the two countries.
The leaders discussed the strengthening of the existing comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia. They also evaluated steps to expand multifaceted cooperation within the framework of implementing agreements reached at high-level contacts. Special emphasis was placed on taking coordinated measures to maintain bilateral trade volume and support industrial cooperation projects. During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of continuing the active contacts and joint efforts at the regional level between the two countries. Additionally, it was noted with satisfaction that the cultural events regularly held in Uzbekistan and Russia contribute to strengthening the close ties between the two peoples.
