Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Commander of the Land Forces, Colonel General Hikmat Mirzayev, held a meeting with a delegation led by General of the Army Metin Tokel, Commander of the First Army of the Turkish Land Forces, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan.
The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported the details of the meeting. During the talks, the sides exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey. Both parties emphasized the importance of conducting joint military exercises utilizing modern technological innovations aimed at enhancing the professional skills and combat readiness of the armed forces of the two brotherly nations. A number of other issues of mutual interest were also discussed. As part of the visit, the Turkish delegation also toured the Military Games Center of the Military Scientific Research Institute under the National Defense University of Azerbaijan. During the visit to the center, briefings were presented and in-depth discussions were held to facilitate the exchange of experience.
