U.S. President Donald Trump said he expects to hold a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin either later this week or early next week, stressing his commitment to resolving the conflict in Ukraine. The two leaders last met on August 15 at a military base in Alaska, where the Ukraine issue dominated their talks. Following the meeting, Putin called for opening a new chapter in U.S.-Russia relations and invited Trump to Moscow.
